Friday 10th October - walk **** – Fun at Martlesham with Maeva – sunny periods.

We love our Maeva Fridays, once again she turned up full of beans and I had already packed todays picnic in the van, after a bit of fun at home we set off for a surprise tour. First stop was the pumpkins at Martlesham, a coupe of farm workers were setting things up to sell them at the weekend so I walked over to ask if it was OK to show the pumpkins to our Granddaughter and they said it would be fine:) Maeva loved walking in the pumpkins, even sitting on one in the sunshine before driving over to Martlesham Church for our picnic inn the van, the only downside was a noisy large generater running to power the houses nearby. We walked over to the church first to collect chestnuts and conkers and there were hundreds! Back to the van for the ususal yummy lunch, Maeva seemed to think things were much tastier in my box and nicked all my crisps:) We then walked back along the lane, Maeva did this in the buggy but then walked the rest of the way as we went down the steps that lead to the end of Martlesham Creek were we spotted fish and little grebes. Through the trees to the marina where we feed the swans who were a little on the aggressive side, Maeva was a little nervous but then again swans are scary! We spoke a lovely lady who lives in the houseboat before continuing further along the creek and up the hill where we had fun with dandelions and sat on the bench admiring the view down to Kyson point, just lovely! Back at the van Maeva finishes her picnic before heding back to Felixstowe with Maeva quikly falling asleep, she must have been knackered! Back home a few cartoons before Mag take Maeva home, another to Friday was had by all:)
